Jonathan Kremser, Ph.D. is the President of Forensic Security & Protection, LLC. He provides consultation and training in the area of workplace violence prevention, security compliance requirement consultation, physical security audits, and cyber-bullying prevention to companies, educational institutions, municipalities, and the legal profession. Dr. Kremser has studied and worked with the leading experts in crime prevention in the world. He incorporates all of the latest, cutting-edge research in his work, and has participated in numerous international crime and security-related conferences, including the Stockholm Criminology Symposium, which is organized by the Swedish National Council of Crime Prevention and the Swedish Government.
Dr. Kremser is the Chair of the Criminal Justice Department at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania; an exceptional academic program. Since 2011, he has served as a member of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Juvenile Diversion Subcommittee in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His work provides criminal justice professionals and school administrators across the Commonwealth with alternative ways to address the needs of young, nonviolent offenders while protecting the community.
In addition to his extensive experience, Dr. Kremser actively maintains many professional certifications in the areas of crime prevention, school safety, and security management. He is a certified school lockdown strategies trainer and a bullying prevention trainer. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), and is certified by the National Association of School Resource Officers in Active Shooter Response and has trained with school resource officers from the Fargo, North Dakota Police, Allentown Police, and several other departments. He also has extensive training and experience protecting critical infrastructure within the utility industry.
Dr. Kremser served in the U.S. Navy, where he conducted numerous weapons training classes for members of the military and the Department of Defense Police. His responsibilities took him to the Middle East, Guantánamo Bay, and Asia. He also completed two missions to Antarctica in support of the National Science Foundation’s research at McMurdo Station.
Dr. Kremser holds a Bachelors degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Applied Criminology from the University of Ottawa, and a Masters and Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University.
His professional memberships include the American Society of Criminology (ASC), and the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).
